Harper Grey lawyer, Rose Keith, QC, recently authored an article for the Summer 2022 edition of The Verdict for her Employment Update column. Titled “Pregnancy and Employment – the Statutory Requirements,” the article discusses how pregnancy can create tricky issues in an employment relationship, triggering both
requirements of the BC Employment Standards Act and considerations under the Human Rights Code, making termination or revision of the terms of employment fraught with difficulty.
