An evening with Beverley McLachlin
On November 3, a group of 33 firm members had the opportunity to attend a fundraising event at the Kay Meek Art Centre featuring a conversation with Beverley McLachlin courtesy of the Harper Grey Social Responsibility Committee. In support of the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation, tickets for this event raised funds that directly support their diverse educational and community programs.
Beverley McLachlin spoke with such grace and her life stories were vivid and captivating. One firm member said “I had no idea that she was the first woman appointed as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, or that she was the longest serving Chief Justice at 17 years. Her life stories were interesting, and I thoroughly enjoyed attending!”. Another attendee added “I loved it! She’s just fantastic and I could listen to her for hours – the seats were PRIMO!”
We are thrilled that everyone who attended enjoyed their night out for such a great cause!
