From Hive to Honey Jar

On Wednesday, September 8, 2022, Harper Grey joined other tenants at 650 West Georgia Street, aka the Scotia Tower, to a free workshop, held by Alvéole, in partnership with GWL Realty Advisors. Alvéole works with various institutions to help support their sustainability goals by bringing urban beekeeping to their site. Many of us were unaware that around 100,000 bees were living on our office rooftop! The workshop, titled ‘From Hive to Honey Jar’, gave us a greater awareness of where and how honey gets made and the environmental factors that impact the process. We all got our hands sticky, but the rewards were sweet! Thanks to Alvéole and GWL Realty Advisors for the experience and the amazing gift bags filled with honeybee products! And thank you to our Green Committee for organizing the event.
