In Honour of Mother’s Day

In honour of Mother’s Day, we had staff send in pictures of themselves with their mom, or just a photo of their mom while sharing a few notes of gratitude and what makes her so special. Have a read below – talk about some spectacular women!

Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all the amazing moms out there!

My mom is kind, compassionate, enthusiastic and funny. She always told me that all I could do was my best and if things don’t work out, “nothing is the end of the world.” I’m very lucky to be her daughter.

My mom was one of the wisest, kindest people that I have ever known.  She was a born teacher and her passion for teaching benefited generations of students.  She was the biggest sports fan you could ever meet.   Although she is not with me anymore, her wisdom, advice and all that I learned from her continues to guide me on a daily basis.  All I have to do is quiet myself and I can hear her say “keep smiling”.

– Rose

My mum is one of a kind! Hardworking, funny and compassionate – we have fun together regardless of what we are doing.  She’s taught me to go after what I want and to be grateful for what I have.

– Alexa

My Mum is an Amazing Human! Mum’s been fighting pancreatic cancer for a year now, and she already beat cervical cancer at the age of 22. My Mum taught me strength, self-respect, kindness, generosity, and to stand up for myself. I cannot imagine my life without her.

– Tammy

The last person to judge me and always the first to be my anchor in life.

– Janet

My mother always put her children before herself. She taught me to be kind, fair, and empathetic. She gave me confidence and taught me about bravery. She sees the good in every person. I am grateful for her. Gracias mama! Feliz Día de la Madre.

– Dina

Although it can be hard living a province away from my mom, she is always just a phone call away. She has an amazing way of bringing me back down to earth and we can lose hours on the phone chatting about life. I am so grateful for her and what she brings out in me. Love you mom!
