World Oceans Day

In recognition of World Oceans Day on June 8th, the Harper Grey Green Committee organized an informative Lunch ‘n Learn for the Firm. They invited Christopher Harley, Professor of Ecology and Evolution at UBC, to share his research into the BC coastal rocky tide pool ecology.

Christopher studies why plants and animals live where they live, and how their distributions will shift because of global climate change. He shared his research into the declining mussel population along the BC coastline and proposed this is largely due to climate change.

The good news is that we still have time to reduce the impact through reducing our personal emissions – every little reduction matters! To aid in this important research, Harper Grey has donated to Professor Harley’s research fund.

Thank you to our Green Committee and Christopher Hartley for hosting a fun and informative Lunch ‘n Learn.
