Karina has a broad civil litigation practice in the areas of commercial litigation, construction, defamation, and privacy.
In her defamation and privacy practice, Karina obtains orders compelling websites to turn over the identity of anonymous commentators. She helps clients defamed on social media obtain the user identification of the defamer and she represents clients seeking damages for harm to reputation caused by defamatory content. She also advises clients on privacy matters and helps with drafting privacy agreements.
Karina assists senior counsel in representing clients in complex shareholder, contractual, and professional liability disputes. She also recently appeared in BC Supreme Court on an estate litigation matter.
In her construction law practice Karina is primarily focused on defending engineers and architects. She works alongside senior counsel to advise on risk management and liability issues.
Karina has appeared before the BC Provincial and Supreme Courts.
Karina has a passion for travel and completed a semester of her law degree abroad, studying in Brno, Czech Republic.
