She has guided her clients to resolve a wide range of family law issues relating to custody, child and spousal support, and division of family property. She strives to resolve her client’s problems as expeditiously as possible and is able to use the litigation process strategically to obtain orders necessary to facilitate settlement or, where settlement is not possible, to resolve the outstanding issues.
While she has considerable litigation experience and has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia, she appreciates the value of alternate dispute resolution and has appeared as counsel at innumerable mediations and is trained as a Mediator.
In her spare time, Marla is a gourmand, doting mother and passionate dog walker.
