Maggie leans on her proactive leadership skills to drive both engagement and efficiency at Harper Grey.

Biography

With over twenty-five years of experience working in HR in legal and other professional services environments, Maggie brings a unique and informed perspective to her role as Director of Human Resources.

Supported by the firm’s HR Manager, Maggie focuses on strategic HR functions including creating and implementing policies and procedures, developing, and implementing training and development for all firm members, driving organizational efficiencies, change management, fostering culture and leadership. She collaborates directly with firm leadership including the practice management committee and practice group leaders to develop a strong understanding of objectives, team structures, staff ratios, and workplace requirements for the firm as a whole.

Maggie lends her energy and passion for people to fostering a positive work environment and culture. She prides herself in her ability to apply systems thinking to see the “big picture” and understand the broad implications of decisions made the firm.

Maggie completed HR management and business management programs at BCIT in 2009 and that year also received her CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) designation. She has been a member of CPHR of BC and Yukon ever since and has been an active member of the BC Legal Management Association’s HR subsection for over a decade.
