Harper Grey Defamation, Privacy & Media lawyer, Daniel Reid, was interviewed by Aaron McArthur, a reporter for Global News BC, following up on a recent decision by the BC Supreme Court involving an online defamation decision. In that case, defamatory statements were made by a customer about a wedding planning company in Richmond, BC. In the decision, the customer was ordered to pay the company $115K for unleashing an online torrent of defamatory comments that ultimately destroyed the business. Daniel was asked for his general comments relating to what responsibilities people have when making claims online against another party.
