Harper Grey is proud to be the Title Sponsor of Access Pro Bono’s ‘Going Public’ event for the fourth consecutive year. The outdoor “legal advice-a-thon” is held over five days – one day in each of Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria, Kelowna and Kamloops – and facilitates access to justice for low- and modest-income people by engaging volunteer lawyers in advising pre-scheduled and drop-in clients on a wide range of legal issues. This year’s event is especially exciting as it marks the 10^th anniversary of the ‘Going Public’ event. New this year is the BC-Wide Telephone Clinic that will be hosted on September 19. The addition of a telephone clinic will allow volunteers to reach even more people in need of legal advice across the province.

The “legal advice-a-thon” calls significant media attention to the legal community’s efforts to increase access to justice, while serving the public and raising much-needed funds for BC’s pro bono programs. This event offers our firm another rewarding opportunity to make a difference through supporting BC’s pro bono programs and actively participating in providing free legal advice to those who may not otherwise have access to justice.

The Vancouver Free Legal Advice-A-Thon will be held at Victoria Square Park on September 8, 2016 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.
