Harper Grey extends Title Sponsorship of Access Pro Bono’s ‘Going Public’ event with new five-year deal

July 4, 2019

Following five years as Title Sponsor of APB’s ‘Going Public’ event, Harper Grey announced today that it will extend its support of the event for another five years.  “Our involvement, since assuming Title Sponsorship in 2014, has offered our firm a rewarding opportunity to proactively participate and make a difference”, says Managing Partner, Jonathan Meadows.  “We are grateful to Access Pro Bono and their efforts to provide free legal advice through this event to those who may not otherwise have access to justice and we look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership with them.”

Access Pro Bono’s ‘Going Public’ event is a legal advice-a-thon that takes place over five days across the province. The goal of this event is to facilitate access to justice for low- and modest-income people by engaging volunteer lawyers in advising pre-scheduled and drop-in clients on a wide range of legal issues. The event also calls significant media attention to the legal community’s efforts to increase access to justice, while serving the public and raising much-needed funds for BC’s pro bono programs.

This year, the legal advice-a-thon will take place over five days, two in Vancouver, one in Surrey, one in Kelowna and one day of telephone clinics. The Vancouver events will be held on September 6 at Victoria Square Park and September 13 at the Vancouver Art Gallery – North Plaza. Both days will run from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

We urge you to consider participating in this year’s Legal Advice-A-Thon to help raise much needed funds for Access Pro Bono’s vital programs.
