Justice is a fundamental pillar of our free and democratic society – it should be accessible to all people, no matter their means.

As officers of the court, and as members of the community at large, the lawyers of Harper Grey LLP support the call by the Canadian Bar Association’s BC Branch for increased public funding of legal aid in our province. We endorse the recommendations made by Commissioner Len Doust, Q.C. in the 2011 Report of the Public Commission on Legal Aid in British Columbia, and the stated goals of the We Need Legal Aid campaign.

We strongly urge our colleagues to do the same.
