Harper Grey Team wins first place in CoRe Mediation Advocacy Moot at UBC

Articling Student Jessica Taylor volunteered as a coach in the CoRe Mediation Advocacy Moot on March 3, 2014 leading the Harper Grey team of David Persall and Robert Dallakyan to a first place win! David and Robert were one of eighteen teams of two students who took part in the event. Jessica worked with the pair at the offices of Harper Grey to prepare for the moot and also joined them at the moot to coach them during the breaks.

The topic was a Wills Variation Act issue within a blended family. Student teams worked together as client and counsel to identify client interests, research relevant law, prepare briefs and then engage with other teams in a 2-hour mediation session conducted by professional mediators.

Congratulations to David, Robert and Jessica!
