On April 11, 2019, the CBA Women Lawyers Forum (WLF) held their biannual Awards Gala at the Terminal City Club. The WLF Awards Gala celebrates the accomplishments of women in the legal profession through the WLF Award of Excellence and the Debra Van Ginkel, QC Mentoring Award. As Vice Chair of the WLF, Rose Keith, had the honour of introducing the key note speaker – Chief Justice of Alberta, Catherine Fraser. Chief Justice Fraser was the first woman appointed Chief Justice of a Province, the youngest person appointed Chief Justice in Canada, and is currently the longest-serving chief justice in Canada.
