David Pilley will present at the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC session on Medicine for Lawyers
David Pilley will be presenting at a course on “Medicine for Lawyers” offered at the Continuing Legal Education Society (CLEBC) in Vancouver on March 7th, 2014. David will present on the topic of “Treating Physicians as Witnesses: Pros and Cons.”
Designed with personal injury counsel in mind, this course will examine several important areas of medicine with an emphasis on issues in the pediatric medical context. The course will assist counsel to better understand the broader context of all medico-legal matters, including admission of medical evidence at trial, and strengthen counsel’s ability to deal with doctors whether in the context of treatment, marshaling a medical opinion, or challenging a medical opinion.
