One of the many ways that our lawyers are able to support those following in their footsteps is to teach and present at universities. For example, our lawyers regularly contribute to the faculties of law and medicine at the University of British Columbia. We also fund a number of university scholarships and prizes to provide recognition and financial support to talented students, from all walks of life, who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Scholarships

  • University Of British Columbia

    $1,500 – Scholarship
    Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Law to a student who achieves high standing and is entering the second or third year in the Faculty of Law.

    $1,500 – Prize in Environmental Law
    Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Law to a student graduating from the JD program who has demonstrated a strong commitment to and excellence in the field of environmental law. Preference will be given to students graduating with the specialization in environment and natural resources law.

    $1,000 – Prize in Insurance Law
    Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Law to a student who achieves the highest standard in the subject of Insurance.

    $1,500 – Prize in Law and Medicine
    Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Law to an outstanding second or third year student in the course in Law and Medicine.

  • University Of Victoria

    $1,000 – Diversity Award
    Awarded to an undergraduate Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour (BIPOC) woman student entering the Faculty of Law

    $500 – Prize in Insurance Law
    Awarded to a student who has demonstrated excellence in the subject of Insurance.

    $2,500 – Scholarship
    Awarded to a first or second year student who achieves a high standing.
