Daniel Reid provides comments in Yahoo! News article addressing Privacy Concerns for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
January 23, 2020
Harper Grey lawyer, Daniel Reid, provided commentary in a recent publication released by Yahoo! News discussing the privacy expectations of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle upon their re-location to British Columbia.
Dan stated that the couple would have an easier time going to court in British Columbia over privacy issues than in most parts of the country because of the province’s enforcement of the Privacy Act, which allows people to sue for breach of privacy.
“Just because someone’s a public figure or in a public space, doesn’t mean that they can’t have expectations of privacy,” Daniel told Yahoo Canada. “The issue is what’s a reasonable expectation of privacy in the circumstances.”
