Harper Grey holds Dress for Success Clothing Drive in support of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Recognized annually on November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women encourages activities around the world to draw attention to the need for continuing action to eliminate violence against women.  In support of this day, we held a Dress for Success clothing drive, collecting business attire and accessories for women from our lawyers and staff. By collecting and donating this clothing, we hope to help empower women in their pursuit of economic independence. Achieving this independence is a vital component in breaking the cycle of abuse.

Dress for Success targets the needs of low-income women and promotes economic security and self-sufficiency to stop the cycle of generational poverty, violence and homelessness in Canada. Further, the organization offers various programs focused on helping women through job preparation, employment retention and career development programs. The ultimate goal is to assist women in poverty to become stronger contributors to their families and communities.  Read more about Dress for Success here.
