Scott Marcinkow and Rose Keith, QC to speak at upcoming Employment Law West Masterclass

Harper Grey lawyers, Scott Marcinkow and Rose Keith, QC will speak at the upcoming Employment Law West Masterclass presented by Key Media. Taking place on November 4, 2021, Rose and Scott’s presentation will address the topic of family status accommodations and will focus on how employers have seen an increased request from employees for accommodation of family obligations as a result of COVID-19. In this session,  attendees can expect to learn more about the following topics:

  • Circumstances where family status protection may be engaged
  • Consideration that should be taken when reviewing family obligations accommodation requests
  • Measures employers can implement to address the complexities of family status accommodation requests, such as written workplace policies

Rose and Scott’s presentation is part of a larger discussion that aims to provide employment lawyers with critical information and updates on recent changes to employers’ workplace duties and obligations as both businesses and their employees look to successfully navigate through the pandemic and changing social forces. As workplaces begin returning to normalthe vaccine rollout continues and governments update their workplace guidelines, businesses will need to ensure they remain up to date on how these developments will affect their day-to-day operations and potential liability risks.
